Classical Guitar
My Journey
I started playing guitar at six years old after watching School of Rock and immediately fell in love with the instrument's versatility. Over the years, my skills developed alongside my passion, until playing the guitar became one of my favorite ways to connect with people.
Eventually, my performances caught the attention of charities and organizations across Iceland, who began requesting my music for their events. I have performed for the Icelandic Nurse Organisation, the Icelandic Rotary Club, the Annual Celebration of Seltjarnarnes, and even at my local library for elderly residents from a nearby care home. Each performance has been a chance to share my love of music while contributing to the community, and they remain some of the most meaningful experiences of my musical journey.
My Most Recent Performance
Most recently, I had the honour of performing at a memorial service for my mother. She would have turned 50 on November 19th, the day we held the service. I played Comptine d'un Autre Été l'après-midi by Yann Tiersen as my solo piece, a song that felt both delicate and profoundly personal. For the closing, my brothers and I performed Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, using Jeff Buckley’s arrangement, and shared the stage as a trio.
Playing music on that day was more than a performance; it was a way to connect, to remember, and to honour her memory. Every note carried both loss and love, and standing there with my brothers, I felt a deep sense of unity and reflection. It is a moment I will carry with me forever.
